Gary Lupyan is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on the interplay between language and cognition.
His research investigates how natural language shapes human cognition, the evolutionary origins of language, and its adaptive mechanisms for learners and users. He actively engages in interdisciplinary discussions, particularly in events addressing the implications of Large Language Models (LLMs) for understanding cognition.
