Dr. Gaofeng Meng is a Lecturer in Law at SOAS University of London, affiliated with the School of Law, Gender and Media. He holds qualifications including an LLM from Kent, a PhD from Glasgow, a PGCE from Cambridge, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His research focuses on property law, contract law, company law, and Chinese law, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of law, property rights, and economic development. His work explores theoretical frameworks in legal and political economy, including the analysis of China's rural land systems and the household responsibility system (HRS).
