معرفی
Dr. Gangkai Poh serves as a Research Professor in the Department of Physics at Catholic University of America's School of Arts and Sciences, concurrently holding research appointments at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. His research focuses on solar wind interactions with planetary magnetospheres, space plasma phenomena, and magnetospheric dynamics using data from space missions including MAVEN and MESSENGER.
Research Interests: Dr. Poh investigates fundamental processes in space plasma physics including Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities, magnetic reconnection events, and cross-tail current sheet dynamics across planetary systems. His work combines spacecraft observations with computational modeling to understand space weather phenomena.
Teaching & Outreach: Committed to mentoring, Dr. Poh advises graduate students and leads international outreach initiatives to promote planetary science in underrepresented regions. He serves on steering committees for the Mercury Exploration Assessment Group and NASA review panels.
