Galina van der Weert

Dr. Galina van der Weert is an Assistant Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, affiliated with the Organization Sciences department and the Network Institute. Her expertise lies in healthcare network governance and interprofessional collaboration within the healthcare sector. She holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Radboud University (2024), a Master's in Psychology, and a Master's in Public Administration, both from Radboud University.

Her research focuses on governance mechanisms in healthcare networks, particularly addressing challenges in integrated care and interorganizational collaboration. She leads projects such as VOICE (Variations in the Organization of Integrated CarE), studying birth care networks, and Resilient Communities for Children with Complex Care Needs. She also serves as a committee member for ZonMW (2024–2027).

Key interests include social network analysis, organizational behavior in healthcare systems, and ethical considerations in network research. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to healthcare equity and governance.
