Gabriel Ehrlich is the Director of the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics (RSQE) at the University of Michigan's Department of Economics, within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan and leads RSQE’s forecasting of the U.S. and Michigan economies, presenting regularly to state officials. His research focuses on macroeconomics, urban and regional economics, and forecasting, with notable work on Medicaid expansion impacts, housing policy, and labor markets.
