Daniil Manaenkov is a US Forecasting Specialist and lead research area specialist at the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics (RSQE) within the University of Michigan's Department of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota (2009) and an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
His expertise focuses on macroeconomics, monetary economics, and applied econometrics. Manaenkov has over 15 years of experience in U.S. economic forecasting, previously managing the macroeconomic forecasting model at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. At RSQE, he leads national forecasting efforts and advises policymakers, including regular testimonies to the Michigan Legislature and briefings for the Governor on national economic outlooks.
