Dr. Gabe Beckhurst is an Associate Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art, specializing in transnational histories of performance, photography, and artists' moving image. Their research examines queer, feminist, and trans visual culture through decolonial and ecological frameworks, with a focus on 'untimeliness' in trans historiography. Curatorial projects include co-directing the 8th Triennial of Photography Hamburg.
