Friedrich Geiger

Friedrich Geiger is Professor of Historical Musicology and Director of the Musicological Institute at Munich University of Music and Performing Arts, where he also serves as Dean of Research. Born in Munich, he holds a doctorate from the University of Hamburg (1997) and completed his habilitation in 2003. His research spans music history from the 18th century to present, with special focus on music under dictatorships, exile studies, and musical aesthetics.
