Prof. Dr. Arne Stollberg is a Professor of Historical Musicology at the Institute of Musicology and Media Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin, serving as its Deputy Director. He holds a doctorate (2004) and habilitation (2010), with research spanning musical aesthetics, instrumental music, and opera. His work bridges interdisciplinary studies across music, literature, and cultural history. Notable publications include analyses of Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s opera and 18th-century musical anthropology. Awards include the Swiss Academy’s Prix jubilé (2005) and the Theodor Kocher Prize (2011). He co-directs the long-term Erich Wolfgang Korngold Edition project and serves on editorial boards for journals and editions.
