Friederike Welter is President and Managing Director of the Institut für Mittelstandsforschung (IfM) Bonn, a policy-oriented independent research institute on small business and entrepreneurship. She also holds a professorship in Business Administration, specifically SME Management and Entrepreneurship, at the University of Siegen's Faculty of Business Administration. Her academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to entrepreneurship research across multiple institutions including Jönköping International Business School in Sweden and RWI Essen.
Professor Welter's research focuses on the diversity of entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on:
