Fredrik Wilhelmsson is a Researcher and Policy Officer at the AgriFood Economics Centre, Lund University School of Economics and Management. He holds a PhD in Economics with a focus on International Economics and economic integration. His work bridges economic analysis with environmental sustainability, particularly in bioenergy, international trade, and ecosystem services valuation.
Education: PhD in Economics from Lund University.
Research Interests: His research focuses on the economic dimensions of sustainable development, including bioenergy policy, agricultural biomass utilization, and ecosystem service evaluation. Key themes include trade-offs between economic growth and environmental protection, policy design for sustainable land use, and climate mitigation strategies in agriculture.
Projects & Collaboration: Active in collaborative initiatives like the LU Land network and the FORCE Center for Food Resilience. His projects emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable biomass production.
Grants & Supervision: Supervised one doctoral student and contributed to multiple research grants, including projects on bioenergy policy and agricultural biomass sustainability.
