Fredrick Dombrowski

Dr. Fredrick Dombrowski serves as Chair of Social Science and Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Science & Society at the University of Bridgeport, with office location in Bates Hall, Room 302.

Education:

• PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, Capella University (2016, CACREP Accredited)

His research focuses on LGBTQIA+ mental health with specialized expertise in transgender populations, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) frameworks. Dr. Dombrowski actively advocates for clinical mental health counseling advancement at state, regional, and national levels.
