Fredrick Cornelius Harris is the Class of 1933 Professor of Political Science and former Dean of Faculty in the Social Sciences at Columbia University. He directs the Center on African American Politics and Society. His research focuses on race and politics, social movements, religion and politics, and African-American political dynamics.
He holds prestigious awards including the V.O. Key Book Award and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. His work spans books like The Price of the Ticket (2012) and scholarly articles in journals such as Social Movement Studies and Annual Review of Political Science.
