Fredric Beerstein serves as Adjunct Faculty for Oboe at California Lutheran University and maintains active performance roles with the New West Symphony, Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, and Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra.

Teaching experience spans 17 seasons at Idyllwild Arts Academy Summer Program, Bocal Majority/Operation oboe Summer Camps, and extensive private instruction. Educational background includes principal studies with William Criss (Metropolitan Opera), Allan Vogel (LA Chamber Orchestra), and John Ellis (LA/Hollywood studios), plus Aspen Music Festival fellowship training and Texas Festival Orchestra studies under John de Lancie, Richard Killmer, Marion Gibson, and Philip West.
