Frederick Gross

Frederick Gross is Professor of Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design. Holding a Ph.D. from CUNY Graduate Center, his scholarship examines 20th-century photography and visual culture, with publications including 'Diane Arbus's 1960s: Auguries of Experience'.

Research focuses on photographic representation in social contexts, particularly postwar American imagery. Curated exhibitions include 'The Culture of the 1960s: Some Photographic Considerations' at SCAD Museum.
