Fred Smeijers (born 1961) is a renowned Dutch type designer and professor at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig since 2004. A pioneer in the digital type era, he established OurType in 2003 as one of the first small foundries specializing in high-quality typefaces.
