Françoise Le Jeune is a Professor of British and North American History (18th-19th centuries) at the University of Nantes.

Professor Le Jeune has published significant scholarly books including "Les rébellions canadiennes vues de Paris (1837-1838)" (2011), "The Feminine Experience in the Margins of the British Empire" (2012), and "Transposer la France durant la grande migration transatlantique (1870-1914)" (2017), reflecting her expertise in transatlantic migrations and imperial crises.
In academic leadership, she directs two Master's programs at the University of Nantes and chairs the AFEC, advancing Canadian studies through curriculum development and national scholarly coordination.
As part of the Centre for Research in International and Atlantic History, she contributes to interdisciplinary projects on Atlantic world dynamics and historical migration patterns.
