Françoise Botterel is a University Professor in Parasitology and Mycology at the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), where she serves as Vice Dean of the Health Faculty and Head of the Dynamyc Research Team. Her work focuses on opportunistic infectious agents, particularly Cryptosporidium and Aspergillus fumigatus, with a strong emphasis on immunocompromised patients and tropical medicine. She is President of the French Society of Medical Mycology and Director of the "1 Health" research unit under UPEC, the National Veterinary School of Alfort, and ANSES.
