Franziska Bergmann

Prof. Dr. Franziska Bergmann is a full professor (W3) at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, where she holds the Chair of Modern German Literature with a Comparative Focus in the Department of German and Comparative Literature. Her academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Trier (2012), a habilitation (2021), and research fellowships at Oxford and Aarhus University. She specializes in literature from the 18th century to the present, with emphases on German, Anglo-American, and Western European texts.
