Frank Z Stanczyk

Frank Z Stanczyk, PhD, is a Research Professor (Part-Time) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He serves as Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology Laboratory and Co-Director of the USC Reproductive Endocrine Clinical Laboratory. His expertise spans steroid/prostaglandin biochemistry, hormone therapy, and reproductive endocrine techniques.

He oversees the Molecular Biology Core Laboratory and actively mentors resident research. Key research interests include: reproductive hormone metabolism, menopausal health, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and hormonal influences on breast cancer risk. He evaluates progesterone/estrogen roles in disease and optimizes contraceptive/hormone therapy efficacy.

Recent articles highlight progesterone's breast cancer risks, PCOS psychiatric comorbidities, and hormone therapy's cardiovascular impacts.
