Frank Witlox is Head of the Department of Geography at Ghent University and a Visiting Research Professor at the University of Tartu, Estonia. He earned his PhD in Urban Planning from Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on travel behavior analysis, urban mobility, infrastructure, and locational strategies for corporations, with notable contributions to world cities studies. He oversees the Mobility Lab at Tartu and holds editorial roles for European Transport Research Review and Journal of Urban Mobility.
