Frank Kee is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Centre for Public Health at Queen's University Belfast's School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. He previously directed a UKCRC Centre of Excellence for Public Health Research (2008–2018). His roles include serving on UKRI panels (MRC Career Development Awards, NIHR Public Health Funding Board) and advisory boards for the NIHR School of Public Health.
Research Interests: Professor Kee specializes in epidemiology, public health policy, health services research, and complexity science. He focuses on evaluating complex interventions, improving knowledge mobilisation for policy, and advancing methods for longitudinal studies and decision sciences. His work intersects with cardiovascular epidemiology and global health initiatives linked to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Recent Research Trends: His 2025 publications emphasize interventions in oral health for elderly care home residents, public health evaluations, and multidomain trials for diabetes management. These studies reflect priorities in aging populations, healthcare cost-effectiveness, and rural health equity.
