Frank Hu is an Assistant Professor at Auburn University's School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture (APLA). He teaches courses in landscape architecture including graphic studies, construction, fieldwork, and design studios. His research focuses on applying emerging technologies like multispectral imagery, GIS, LIDAR, and 3D printing to landscape design and visualization.
Hu leads research projects involving vegetation analysis through multispectral imagery and develops 3D printed topographic city models using LIDAR data. He is part of a team exploring virtual reality applications in landscape architecture education. His work aims to prepare students for professional practice through technology integration.
