Prof. Frank Hindriks is a Professor in Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Philosophy, leading the Department of Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy. His research focuses on social ontology, collective ethics, and institutional theory, addressing issues like identity politics, corporate responsibility, and climate change. He is a founding member of the International Social Ontology Society (ISOS) and co-founder of the Journal of Social Ontology (JSO).
Education: Background in economics, with interdisciplinary research spanning philosophy, psychology, and sociology. Active in the Gravity Program 'Sustainable Cooperation.'
Research interests include institutional decay, collective moral agency, and the social ontology of money. Awards include membership in the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities and a VENI grant from NWO (Netherlands).
