Franco Amatori is Senior Professor of Business History at Bocconi University, specializing in Italian industrial development and comparative business history. A founder of the Italian Association of Business Historians, he served as President of the European Business History Association (2000-2001) and on the Executive Committee of the International Economic History Association (2009-2015).
His current research examines Italy's 'economic miracle' period (1958-1968) and the evolution of Italian firms from unification to present. Amatori maintains the Boulton Paul Heritage Project archive and received the 'Ciriachino l'Oro' award for cultural contributions to Ancona.
