Francisco Xabier Goñi Castañón

Francisco Xabier Goñi Castañón is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture (University of Navarra), affiliated with the research groups ART T&H Architectural Research Team: Theory and History and Design and Creative Processes (DPC). He earned his PhD in 2022 with a thesis on 20th-century architectural project redaction in Spain and holds a 2017 degree in Architecture.

His research focuses on architectural drawing and creative processes, complemented by professional practice at GoniPena Arquitectos, teaching in graphic expression workshops, and international artistic exhibitions in Algeria, Israel, Dominican Republic, and the United States. He has conducted research stays at University of Notre Dame (USA) and Renaud Foundation (France).

Recent publications include works in indexed journals like EGA and international congresses. His academic achievements have been recognized with the Alumni Scholarship and the XIV BEAU award.
