Francisco Gomez

Francisco (Paco) Gomez is Professor of Geological Sciences at University of Missouri specializing in neotectonics and seismic hazard assessment. His research combines field geology with geodetic and remote sensing techniques to analyze active fault systems globally, with focus regions including the Caribbean and Central Asia.

Gomez's work on plate boundary deformation has contributed to national seismic hazard models. He teaches structural geology, engineering geology, and geohazard assessment, and leads international fieldwork programs.
