Francis Naab is a Research Fellow at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC), affiliated with the Rural Policy Centre within the School of Rural Economy, Environment and Society. His work focuses on inclusive education, climate change, agricultural policy, and financial inclusion in developing countries, particularly Ghana and Kenya. He is currently leading or co-leading projects such as the 'Agriculture and Health Nexus' and 'NWIP Consultancy for Rural Development in Orkney, Shetland, and the Outer Hebrides.'
His research interests span rural development, electronic money systems, and policy interventions to enhance community wealth. Recent projects include analyzing mobile money impacts on Kenyan businesses and exploring global community wealth-building strategies.
Naab has published widely on topics like climate services in Ghanaian agriculture, urbanization impacts on farmland, and public perceptions of genomic technologies in animal breeding. His work bridges policy, economics, and social sciences to address challenges in rural and developing regions.
