Francesco Salustri is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Roma Tre, and holds roles as a Research Fellow (RTD-b) in Political Economy at the same institution. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the UCL Institute for Global Health and a Research Fellow at the UCL Centre for Global Health Economics, Global Labor Organization, ISMED-CNR, and the Fondazione Tor Vergata. Previously, he conducted research at University College London, the University of Oxford, the University of Turin, the London School of Economics, and SOAS.
He earned a degree in Mathematics from Rome and a degree in Economics from Toulouse, followed by a PhD in Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (2018), focusing on behavioral economics of responsible consumption. His research emphasizes behavioral aspects of health, environmental, and social responsibility economics, with over 30 publications in international journals.
Collaborations include the World Bank, OECD, Italian Ministries of Environment and Economic Development, Bloomsbury Policy Lab, and United Health Future. His work integrates civil economy principles and policy analysis, addressing global challenges in sustainability and consumption patterns.
