Francesco Lupi is a Researcher in Greek and Latin Philology at the Department of Humanities of Ca' Foscari University of Venice since September 2024. Previously, he held research positions at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (2013-2015) and University of Verona (2016-2023).

His research focuses on classical Attic theatre and the history of classical philology, particularly fragmentary theatrical production. He analyzes these through philological-exegetical methods and the history of scholarship from late fifteenth-century Italy to Erasmus of Rotterdam, covering Dutch philological traditions (16th-18th centuries).
