Francesco Catino is an Associate Professor at the University of Salento (UniSalento), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Physics 'Ennio De Giorgi'. His research focuses on algebraic structures and their applications to the Yang-Baxter equation.
- Editorial Roles: Managing Editor (2020-2023) and current Editor of Note di Matematica; Member of the Editorial Team for Quaderni di Matematica (since 2014).
- Leadership Roles: Former President of the Mathematics Teaching Council (2008-2014), Degree Course in Mathematics (2000-2003), and University Quality Committee (2016-2019).
