Francesca Terranova serves as an Associate Professor of Jurisprudence (GIUR-15/A classification) at the University of Palermo's Department of Law within the School of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences. She maintains regular office hours on Thursdays from 9:00 to 13:00 at the Department of Law, 1st floor, former Institute of History of Law.
Her primary research and teaching focus centers on Roman legal systems, with particular expertise in Roman Law and its historical development. Professor Terranova's academic work spans foundational legal concepts from ancient Rome that continue to influence modern legal frameworks across Europe and beyond. Her scholarship examines the evolution of contractual systems within Roman jurisprudence and their legacy in contemporary legal practice.
Professor Terranova has consistently taught core courses including History of Roman Law (course 471) and Roman Contractual System (course 2146) for both Jurisprudence and Corporate Legal Consultant programs.
