Francesca Munari is a Temporary Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Verona. Her research focuses on understanding protein interactions and mechanisms using NMR spectroscopy, particularly studying the structural biology of biomolecules involved in Alzheimer’s disease, such as the Tau protein. She teaches modules including Organic Chemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry of Biological Systems across undergraduate and graduate programs.
Her research projects include the study of Fyn-Tau complexes, glial phagocytic clearance of protein aggregates, and ubiquitination processes in Alzheimer’s. She is involved in PhD programs in Nanoscience and Advanced Technologies, contributing to courses like 'Inhibitors and Stabilizers of Protein-Protein Interactions.'
Munari holds roles in multiple academic committees, including the Faculty Board of the PhD in Nanoscience and the Biotechnology Teaching Committee. She is affiliated with spin-off companies like EDIVITE s.r.l. and Microbion S.r.l., potentially related to her research applications.
