Francesca Morselli serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics (DIMA) at the University of Genoa, Italy. She holds leadership positions including Director of the Multidisciplinary Center for Teacher Training and membership on the Department Boards for both DIMA and the Teacher Training Center. Her academic work centers on mathematics pedagogy and educator development.
Her research program critically examines formative assessment mechanisms and teacher professional growth within mathematics education. She pioneers the integration of digital technologies to cultivate collaborative classroom environments and student self-regulation. Significant contributions include interdisciplinary task design bridging mathematics and physics for pre-service teachers, alongside innovative approaches like immersive role-playing games for mathematical concept mastery. Current projects investigate expert facilitation in classroom discourse and self-regulated learning in algebraic problem-solving.
