- PhD Candidate in Management Innovation, Sustainability and Healthcare at Sant'Anna University School of Advanced Studies in Pisa
Meda's research centers on designing public interest services through innovation in welfare systems, health/social services, and strategic management in proximity care. Her work addresses critical challenges in scaling innovative initiatives, healthcare system reforms, and public network design while emphasizing equity in service delivery. She examines how decentralization, integrated care models, and collaborative governance can transform healthcare access and quality.
Her publication trajectory (2023-2025) reveals a concentrated focus on operationalizing healthcare innovations within the Italian context, particularly examining cancer care decentralization, community hospital integration, and emergency department logistics. These works consistently bridge academic research with practical policy implementation through regional case studies, demonstrating how service design principles can reduce environmental impacts while improving equity.
As an active contributor to the OASI Report on Italy's National Health Service and author of books on local welfare innovation, Meda integrates her CERGAS research with real-world policy analysis. Her work spans multiple projects monitoring public policy implementation and supporting strategic transformations in health and social care systems, with particular emphasis on the Emilia-Romagna region's innovative approaches.
