Francesca Boldrer is an Associate Professor of Latin Language and Literature at the University of Macerata, within the Department of Humanistic Studies. She specializes in classical philology, Roman rhetoric, and the reception of classical texts. Her teaching includes courses on Latin Philology, History of the Latin Language, and Latin Grammar. She actively promotes the use of Latin in education and collaborates on Latin language certification initiatives. Her research focuses on Cicero, Augustan poets (Virgil, Horace, Ovid), didactic poetry, and the digital archiving of Latin texts. She has organized international conferences on classical authors and themes, and participates in interdisciplinary projects like the PRIN 2022 study on East Asian Latin. She holds leadership roles in academic organizations such as SIAC and CUSL. Her recent publications include studies on humor in Roman literature, Columella's agricultural treatises, and the reception of classical texts in modern Italian literature.
