Francesca Bertoldi is a Lecturer at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specializing in Physical Anthropology and Paleopathology. She has taught in the Master's Degree programs Ancient Sciences: Archaeology, Literature and History and Ancient Sciences: Literature, History and Archaeology since 1998-1999.

Recent publications highlight her work on interdisciplinary age estimation methods, burial evolution, and the Kuro-Araks culture. She leads projects funded by MAECI, Ca' Foscari University, and MIUR - PRIN 2022, collaborating with teams in Italy and Georgia.
Scientific collaborations include partnerships with Elena Rova, Piera Allegra Rasia, and international researchers. Her work spans archaeological missions in Georgia and regional excavations in Italy, such as Nonantola.
