Elisa Girotto

Elisa Girotto is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her work focuses on archaeology of the Ancient Near East, Mesopotamian glyptic art, and Hittite ritual choreography.

Education:

Research Interests: Specializes in glyptic art as cultural identity markers, Mesopotamian warrior kingship symbolism, and Bronze Age Anatolian festivals. Participates in international archaeological missions in Iraqi Kurdistan, Georgia, and Syria.

Article Trends: Her publications span Mesopotamian glyptic analysis (2011–2018), Hittite ritual practices (2024), and collaborative fieldwork reports from Iraq and Georgia.

Technical Skills: Expert in digital archaeological drawing (Adobe Illustrator), database management (Filemaker), and ceramic analysis. Conducts post-excavation documentation and manual creation.
