Elisa Girotto is a Research Fellow at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her work focuses on archaeology of the Ancient Near East, Mesopotamian glyptic art, and Hittite ritual choreography. Education: PhD in Ancient History and Archaeology (2014), Ca' Foscari University Master's in Archaeology and Conservation of Cultural Heritage (2009), Ca' Foscari Bachelor's in Conservation of Cultural Heritage (2006), Ca' Foscari Research Interests: Specializes in glyptic art as cultural identity markers, Mesopotamian warrior kingship symbolism, and Bronze Age Anatolian festivals. Participates in international archaeological missions in Iraqi Kurdistan, Georgia, and Syria. Article Trends: Her publications span Mesopotamian glyptic analysis (2011–2018), Hittite ritual practices (2024), and collaborative fieldwork reports from Iraq and Georgia. Technical Skills: Expert in digital archaeological drawing (Adobe Illustrator), database management (Filemaker), and ceramic analysis. Conducts post-excavation documentation and manual creation.
