Frances M. Colón-Pratts

Frances M. Colón-Pratts is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Barry and Judy Silverman College of Pharmacy, Nova Southeastern University, with affiliations in both San Juan and Ponce, Puerto Rico. She specializes in clinical pharmacy education and practice, focusing on medication therapy management and patient care.

Education: She earned her Pharm.D. from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, School of Pharmacy in June 2006.

Research & Teaching: Her expertise includes diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemias, and over-the-counter medication guidance. She teaches pharmacotherapy to second- and third-year pharmacy students and facilitates patient care management labs. She precepts fourth-year students in ambulatory care rotations at a Walgreens clinic in Ponce.

Professional Engagement: Member of the Puerto Rico Pharmacist Association’s Nomination and Elections Committee, American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and advisor to the APhA-ASP Chapter at the Puerto Rico site.

Clinical Work: Provides MTM services in ambulatory care settings, particularly for chronic disease management.
