Fons van der Lucht is a Professor at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, holding positions in Healthy Ageing & Public Health and the Centre of Expertise Healthy Ageing. He specializes in frailty, public health policy, and elderly care systems. His academic background includes a Doctor of Health Science from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (1992) and a Master in Medical Sociology (1988). He has been a senior researcher at Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu since 1998.
