Flynn Allott is a Non-Stipendiary Lecturer in English at Oriel College, University of Oxford. He is completing an AHRC-funded DPhil thesis titled 'Cartography and the Craft of Seventeenth-Century Prose', examining how figures like Francis Bacon and Robert Burton were influenced by early modern geographical pedagogy. His research bridges literary studies with the history of science and scholarship, focusing on material texts and intellectual practices.
