Florian Wichern

Professor Dr. Florian Wichern is a faculty member at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, holding the position of Professor of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition. He specializes in soil biology, sustainable agriculture, and agroecology. His research focuses on soil microbial interactions, nutrient cycling, and crop physiology, with emphasis on ecological and sustainable farming practices. He has contributed to projects in Kyrgyzstan, Oman, and Sub-Saharan Africa, addressing soil fertility, salinity management, and underutilized plant resources.
