Ruijun Qin is an Associate Professor at Oregon State University’s Hermiston Agricultural Research & Extension Center, affiliated with the Department of Crop and Soil Science. His research focuses on nutrient and water management, soil health, cover crops, and sustainable cropping systems, with applications in potato production and other agronomic crops.
- Research Interests: Nutrient & water management, soil health, biochar application, soil fumigation, root system dynamics, and intercropping systems.
- Recent Work: Studies on potassium fertilization effects on potato nutrition, biochar impacts on soil microbial biomass, and intercropping strategies for enhanced productivity in semi-arid conditions.
