Florian Stammler is a Research Professor in Arctic Anthropology at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland. His work focuses on the Russian Arctic, particularly reindeer herding, nomadism, and the intersection of indigenous knowledge with resource extraction and urbanization. He holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology and has extensive experience with fieldwork in Siberia and Arctic communities.
