Florian R. Greten is a German oncology researcher and physician-scientist currently serving as the Scientific Director of the Georg-Speyer-Haus Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy and Chair of Tumor Biology at Goethe University Frankfurt (since 2013). His work focuses on inflammation-driven cancer development, particularly in colorectal cancer, and he has established interdisciplinary research consortia including the DFG-funded Research Unit FOR2438 and the Frankfurt Cancer Institute (FCI), securing €42 million in competitive funding.
