Florian Petry

Florian Petry, M.Sc., is a Researcher at htw saar - University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Traffic Telematics Research Group (FGVT) and Vehicle Technology Research. His work focuses on vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, development of software components for automated driving (Autoware, NVIDIA Drive), system design and implementation of software development processes, Continuous Integration/DevOps, system integration, IT security, and project management. He is based at the University Technology Center in Saarbrücken, Germany.

• Current research projects include FASTer (2022-), 5G-SLS (2021-2023), FAST (2020-2022), and earlier initiatives like 5G NetMobil and CONVERGE.
• He supervises academic theses, including works on trajectory planning for autonomous vehicles, sensor data middleware, ITS vehicle system design, and mobile ITS roadside station platforms.
