Florian Lindner is an Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) at the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Innsbruck, Austria. His research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics and finance, with an emphasis on personnel and organizational economics, behavioral finance, applied game theory, sports economics, decision theory, and social preferences. He has held academic positions at the University of Innsbruck and University of Munich, Germany, and has contributed to prominent journals such as the Journal of Finance and Economic Inquiry.
His work explores topics like risk-taking in financial markets, intertemporal decision-making under time pressure, and tournament mechanisms. Lindner's research often employs experimental methods to uncover insights into human behavior in economic contexts. Current projects include studies on social status and investment decisions, delegated decision-making in finance, and choking under pressure in sports.
