Florent Masse is a Resident Faculty Fellow in French and Italian at Princeton University, serving as Artistic Director of Seuls en Scène - Princeton French Theater Festival and director of L'Avant-Scène French Theater Workshop. Since 2001, he has taught and directed over sixty productions of French classical and contemporary works.
His artistic practice integrates theatrical training with language pedagogy, creating innovative programs that combine linguistic development with dramatic performance techniques. Masse specializes in directing plays from the French canon by authors including Molière, Racine, Feydeau, and contemporary playwrights like Pascal Rambert.

Masse founded the Rocky/Mathey Actors' Studio for English-language performance and regularly brings prominent French theater artists to Princeton for residencies and masterclasses. His site-specific productions have transformed campus spaces including Holder Courtyard and the Rocky Common Room into theatrical venues.
