Florencia San Martín is an Assistant Professor of Art History at Lehigh University, specializing in contemporary art and culture in the Americas, history of photography, and decolonial theories of memory, gender, and colonial legacies. She co-edited The Routledge Companion to Decolonizing Art History (2023) and Dismantling the Nation: Contemporary Art in Chile (2023), and curated an exhibition for the Chilean government commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1973 coup. Her research examines the intersection of art, politics, and decolonial thought, supported by grants from institutions like the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
